![]() On one of them I used the spot heal tool 96 times, and it got so slow working on that photo that I had to give in in the end. I also have a handful of photos taken on a camera with a damaged sensor. Has anyone noticed how slow Lightroom is lately? I have a brand new top specced computer and monitor and it can take a little while to load in. I was fully into the Adobe workflow but in some ways they have done me a favour by their greed and laziness. Truth is I'm an amateur, but I've used Photoshop since version 4 and Lightroom since it first began. Saying that if my business depended on a company that refused pint blank to fix bugs and simply ceased products as and when they saw fit I'd not want to support it at all but that's a different story. Yes it probably is if your business depends on it. People keep saying "it's a no brainer" and "it's excellent value for money" And today it's still good value.Īs for me, I feel that all arguments have been used. You are free to use Lr6 until your computers stop supporting it. It's not black and not white, it's in colours. Some companies even make a point from the fact that you pay the software instead of renting.Īt first, I was sceptical for the subscription model, but currently and from the point of my company, it is easier to shelf out some 60€ /month for the package than discussing the upgrade price for 6 seats. There are alternatives to Lr, there is no need to stay with Adobe, if you are unhappy. My point is: some people own the latest (and most expensive) gear, the best Phone money can buy but they rage over the about 14€/month for using the software. If you do not use Photoshop (or like your case) are happy with Ps CS6 then you need to look if the subscription is worth.
